Creating A Mission Statement

I have talked a lot on this podcast about taking action, not sleepwalking through life and of course, clearing your clutter. A mission statement is one of those things that can guide you and help keep you focused. And it might also help you if you are struggling with priorities or what is important.

A mission statement can help you clarify what you want to do in life. It can serve as inspiration. Like the word, it can help you when taking actions or making decisions. Does it fit within your personal statement? You can ask this when choosing to do something.

  • Display your statement where you can see it
  • Take time in the AM or PM to reflect on your statement. How did you honor it today? Did you move towards or ways from it?
  • Decide who, if any one, you would like to share your mission statement with.
