Letting go of other people’s energy

Once you have a better sense of your energy and others come up with a game plan to release the energetic clutter. Here are some suggestions:

Walk away. Especially if something feels really off.  Don’t worry about offending someone. If you need to get away from someone’s energy, do it.

Shield yourself. There are lots of different ways to do this, but you can imagine yourself surrounded by gold light, or in white light that encompasses your energy field.


Set boundaries. Maybe you need to take a break from a friend. Maybe you need your co-worker to back up and give you more space. Figure out what you need and then do it.

Sage.  I love using sage to change the energy of a room as well. If I feel really strong energy on me I don’t like I use sage.  Called a smudge stick, I use it all over my body.

Sound.  Everything is energy and you can use sound. I have a Tibetan bowl I use. I have had sound healings before and it is one of the craziest things I have every experienced. Use sound to release others energy.

Essential Oils.  I have been learning to use essential oils more.  Create a combination of smells you love and then spritz all over your body,

Nature. I love the energy in nature. If I am having a bad day and can get to nature, I do.  The energy feels better and I always feel energy removed from me when in nature.  I like to hug a tree and ask it to remove all my negative energy.

As I like to say, Google is your friend. Talk to people you know. See how they handle other people’s energetic clutter.  Make it fun, try things out and see what works for you.

With a game plan and being more aware, you will be less susceptible to energy of others.


Empath: Clearing Other People’s Energy

An Empath is “A person who is capable of feeling the emotions of others despite the fact that they themselves are not going through the same situation.” I will be doing a future show that goes into this more fully, but wanted to mention it here

While most of us get a feeling or sensation it affects an Empath at a deeper level.   If you are really affected by other people’s energy, you may want to start learning more about being an Empath. 

Take aways from the two blogs focusing on clearing other people’s energy:

  • People can feel energy in different ways: sensations in the body; seeing; hearing; smelling; touching; emotions and tasting.
  • Begin to play with energy and get to know how your energy feels to you. Place your open palms facing each other. Push energy back and forth or wiggling your fingers and play around with the energy.  Ask to feel an emotion and be shown what stuck energy feels like as well as free flowing. 
  • Once you have a better sense of your energy and others come up with a game plan to release the energetic clutter. This may include: Walking away, using sage, energetically shielding yourself, or being with nature.
