Today’s decluttering blog addresses clearing mental clutter with mantras.

Do you know what a mantra is and how you can use it every day? How can using a mantra support you in clearing clutter? Would you like to reduce stress and/or depression?  Learn how mantras can support you in clearing clutter.

Today’s clutter-free living blog was inspired because I read a book and started to use mantras.  Everything is energy and I have had sound healings before and am amazed.  Meditating learned a mantra and it has been the most effective meditating I have ever done.

What is a mantra?

Here’s a definition from Wikipedia” A “mantra” is a sacred utterance, a numinous sound, a syllable, word or phonemes, or a group of words in Sanskrit believed by practitioners to have psychological and spiritual powers.

I first learned a mantra when I learned Transcendental Meditation, I was given a specific mantra that I would chant over and over in my mind. It is not connected to a meaning or an idea and my understanding are to not help get you distracted.

Mantras help you release stress!

 “Handshake your fear”

Befriend your fear.  You give your fear your intention and don’t ignore it nor give it more power.  Becoming neutral about your fear can help you act with confidence. These words can also help you to see that you’re more than your fear and helps you act from confidence rather than fear.

“Cross that bridge when you come to it”

My dad likes to say don’t borrow trouble by worrying.  Worrying is in the future and I’ve found many times what I worry about never happens. I try and remind myself that when something does happen, I can deal with it.

Just in the moment of now, I am safe, Just in the moment of now. I use this when I have anxiety attacks.

How often?

What feels right to you? I used to meditate every day and need to get back into that.
